13 Ways I Am Going to Live a Healthier Life in 2008

1. Reduce fast food - If I eat at a fast food joint, I am not going to get a combo meal but just a small item.

2. Exercise regularly - I started a exercise routine a couple months back. I plan on sticking to it and even increasing it to 5 days a week instead of 3. I also want to start keeping track of exercises I can do while traveling so that when I do travel I won’t be stuck without exercising.

3. Watch less TV - get more active

4. Keep my house in order. If my house is clean and orderly, I will feel better about taking time to exercise and will actually have a place to exercise.

5. Drink more water. Drink more water. Drink more water.

6. Try to reduce stress by staying organized and on a schedule. I have a couple of ideas I plan to try. I will post on those as I do them.

7. Keep in touch with family. This makes me happy. If I’m happy I’m not depressed and therefore not overeating.

8. Don’t buy chips, candy, cokes, etc. (all the good stuff) at the grocery store. If they are not in the house, I won’t eat them.

9. Continue with accountability. I am currently participating in Tales From the Scales and have gotten great support and encouragement.

10. Get a good night sleep every night or as many as possible

11. Find time to relax. Don’t over exert myself.

12. Don’t put myself down when I fail at something. Keep up beat and positive.

13. Put God first. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
