Precious Moments and Precious Moms

Do you collect Precious Moments figurines? I have two figurines that were given to me on two important occasions of my life. I have always though they were adorable but never had a place to display them living in an apartment. Now that we are in a house I proudly display the two I have, a graduation one (The Lord Is The Hope Of Our Future - Blonde) and a wedding one (Can I Have This Dance For The Rest Of My Life). I hope to add more to my small collection in the future.
I was recently sent a new Precious Moments figurine, Birthday Wishes With Hugs And Kisses, courtesy of MomSelect and Precious Moments. Isn’t she adorable?
Did you know Precious Moments was started in the 1970s but was only found on cards and posters? It wasn’t until 1978 that the first figurine was made. Now there are over 1,500 figurines in the collection and Precious Moments even has their own park in Cathridge, MO.
Precious Moments has also started a site just for moms, Precious Moms. At Precious Moms you can find featured blogs, parenting tips and advice, and ways to display your Precious Moments figurines. If you love Precious Moments and you are a mom, then Precious Moms is the place you need to be.

Without a doubt the Sandcastle Memories doll is my favorite The blues on the front page of the Precious Moments site make that product pop out and I love it.

Who doesn’t ooh and ahh over a Precious Moment figurine? I think that the pastel color, coupled with the verse and/or thoughtful words that touch me.

I have been a PM Collector for years. In fact your post/contest reminded me that it was time to renew my membership that I had let lapse in their Collector’s Club. I knew about the Precious Moments website, but did not know about the Precious Moms one. I have to thank you for that! I love the inspiration and the useful tools the most. I still have my Precious Moments Cake topper for my wedding displayed as it is also a “music box” and plays “Wedding March By Mendelssohn”. It’s call “The Lord Bless You And Keep You” and it was apparently retired back in 2001 (It was around for a while since I just noticed that it was introduced in the 80’s, but I didn’t get married until the mid 90’s). The only place I could find a decent picture of it was at the following web address http://www.gocollect.com/Catalog/product.aspx?id=8207 in case you’re interested in what it looks like. (I couldn’t even find it on the Enesco site…). Anyway, thank you for introducing me to Precious Moms.

I love the pictures of the chapel and park at the PM site. A woman I know got to visit there while on vacation, and she loved the place - I’d like to go someday to see it.

Every year I get my mom one or two precious moments documenting something that happened throughout the year. I like how at the Precious Moment site I can choose the occasion to sift through the many beautiful figurines they have. I can literally spend hours searching for the right “moment” so it is nice to have some search power. Thanks for such a cool giveaway!!

Precious Moments figurines have a special part of my life on memorable occassions, also. I received the first one from my soon to be Mother-in-law to top our wedding cake. When I met my birth Mom in 1993 she gave me a precious moment figurine and started giving them to me yearly. My precious memories seem to always be documented with a precious moments. My favorite part of Precious Moments is the thought the giver puts into choosing the figurine and the Christian principle behind the creation of each figurine. I would love to be chosen to receive your figurine!

I love that there are plush animals available which I can purchase for my niece as stocking stuffers this holiday season.
