Aloha Friday

It’s been a while since I participated in Aloha Friday hosted by An Island Life, but now that I’m a little more settled from our move and such I thought I would get back to it.

For those who don’t know here is what Aloha Friday is all about:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends

My question this week is:

What is your favorite room in your home?

Mine is my new kitchen!  Since we have always lived in an apartment before now, my kitchen has always been super tiny.  My new kitchen is large, has a skylight, and even came with professional series appliances.  I’ve been in cooking heaven since we moved in!

Aloha Friday - Week 26

Hosted by Kailani at An Island Life

Question: Are you planning on going on a vacation this summer? Where?

Answer: We are not planning anything since we are getting ready to move, but I would love to go to somewhere and do something, I don’t care what it is. It would be nice just to get away.

Aloha Friday - Week 23

TGIF!!

I attempted to cut my son’s hair this morning. My mother-in-law gave me a quick how-to last time she visited but I must of forgoten everything she told me because I was at a complete loss. But once I started I had to finish. It’s bad! Very, very bad! Yikes! At least only being 3 years old he doesn’t understand what a bad hair cut means and doesn’t care. He is just happy his hair is out of his eyes. I will try to get a before and after picture posted later today.

So my Aloha Friday question is:

How have you embarrassed your kids or if you don’t have any children, how did you embarrass a sibling, significant other, etc?

My Answer:

My kids are really too young to embarrass right now but I can’t wait until they are older and I can pull out of the old baby pictures to torment them with.

Aloha Friday - Scariest Moment

My question this week:

If you are a parent, what has been your scariest moment in reagrds to the health and safty of your child/children?

My answer:

I guess mine would be when I was pregnant with my first child, now a 3 year old, I had a placenta abruption.  Those were the scariest moments of my life.  I was bleeding horribly and all I could think was that something was wrong with my baby.  The doctors ending up doing an emergency c-section at 32 weeks and although my son was premature, he was prefect.  Afterwards I thanked my husband for everything.  He was my rock through the entire ordeal.  He just said some had to stay calm because I was  hysterical.   I have been blessed that nothing has happen to either of my children thus far in life, besides the occasional bump, scratch, and bruise.

Aloha Friday

I love the picture for Aloha Friday!  It is snowing and icy here in Baltimore and this picture of the beach makes me long for the spring and summer months.
So my question for this week is:
What is your favorite snow day activity?

My answer:

Watching movies while cuddled under soft warm blankets with a nice mug of hot chocolate.
