The Joys of Being A Boy
My son has been fully potty trained for about 3 months now. Only the occassional accident. Even sleeps through the night in his big boy underwear. We taught him how to potty sitting down. Thought it would be easier to teach him everything the same way at first. Imagine my surprise earlier this week when my son announced he had to go potty and I had to go with him, not only did he potty but he pottied standing up. I have no idea where he learned this from, not me and my husband said he didn’t show him. Of course, I told him how great he did and now he tells everyone, and I mean everyone, that he can pee standing up now.
The negative side, now he thinks he is suppose to poop standing up as well. Ugh!

That’s so funny! When did u start potty-training him? I ask as I’m trying to start it as well and it’s not going well.

I’ve heard about disposable targets you can actually put in the toilet for boys. I can’t recall where, but I believe they are out there somewhere. He may like that.

I had a friend that would put cheerios or something else in the toilet for her son to use as “target” practice.

Hi! I live in Maine now, but moved here from Moore, OK. I was in the MOMS Club of Moore for 2 years. It was a nice place. I miss the awesome zoo of OKC!
